WHAT IS "PEOPLE SHAPED TRAVEL" ALL ABOUT?
We’re launching a series of transformational initiatives to deliver increasingly personalised travel services to reinforce our role as a trusted travel partner rather than simply a booking engine.
At Expedia we believe that working with our customers to create the best possible tools and solutions is the key to introducing the future of travel. So the first phase of our “People Shaped Travel” campaign aims to reduce the barriers to communicating with Expedia by creating a more personal relationship with Expedia and the people who will be making your holiday happen.
Our new TV ads aim to show that we are all avid travellers ourselves from different countries around the world so we understand that travel is a very personal experience and we all have our own interests and preferences - and our own concerns about travel.
The scenarios in the ads are based on insights into travellers, that were identified in workshops we held with travellers across Europe earlier in the year and also include cameo appearances from real life Expedia employees. Our collaborative approach will run through all aspects of our business. We are already making a number of new developments to improve the experience when using Expedia both behind the scenes, on the site and through other devices, but we are looking to work with our customers to bring in the next evolution of online travel.
