Expedia.co.uk launches new SNOW COMPANION FACEBOOK APP

 

London, 5th January:Expedia.co.uk, the world’s leading travel booking site, has launched its new-look Ski Store and group booking Facebook app ‘Expedia Snow Companion’. The new app has been launched as part of Expedia’s commitment to making travel simple and driving innovation in travel. 

 

The Facebook Expedia Snow Companion app allows users to plan their entire holiday in just a few easy steps; taking the hassle out of group emails and ongoing negotiation, the app allows users to ‘cut out the faff’ and get their ski trip organised and booked quickly and efficiently.

 

The key features of Expedia.co.uk’s new Snow Companion app are:

  • The app makes it quick and simple for large groups to plan, discuss, vote on and book their preferred ski holiday all in the one place
  • Customers can receive holiday deals, create a shortlist of favourites and vote on their preferred destination – and can even book directly from the dedicated app.
  • It runs within Facebook, making it easy for users to contact their existing network of friends. Facebook friends can vote on their preferred ski holiday option, taking the hassle out of long group emails and discussions
  • Customers can choose from a wide range of ski and snowboarding resorts across Europe and North America from a range of UK departure airports

 

This tool brings together Expedia.co.uk’s existing ski inventory in a new and exciting way and allows customers to book their whole trip quickly and easily via Facebook. Expedia Snow Companion has been developed in conjunction with UK-based digital products and service design company, Made by Many, using co-creation techniques and an Agile development process. Expedia and Made by Many worked together with ski and snowboard enthusiasts to build the product, and adopted an iterative approach, making it easy to build on and enhance design successes to date.
