EXPEDIA.CO.UK NAMED TOP TWENTY BRAND BY THE MARKETING SOCIETY

 London, 1^st December 2011: Expedia.co.uk, the UK’s leading travel booking site, was listed amongst the 20 top brands in The Marketing Society’s Brand of The Year awards making it the only online travel site to be included.

The annual award ceremony, which took place Old Billingsgate in London, saw Expedia shortlisted alongside leading household names such as Apple, Innocent, Fosters, Help for Heroes, British Airways, Jaguar Land Rover, London 2012, and even The Royal Family!More than 21,000 marketers and members of the public voted ultimately selecting John Lewis as the overall winner of the award.

Travel company scoops prestigious title at the British Travel Awards

London, 3^rd November 2011: Expedia.co.uk, the UK’s leading travel booking site, has been named ‘Best Flight Booking Company’ and runner up as ‘Best Online Hotel Booking Company’ at the British Travel Awards 2011.

The awards ceremony, which took place on 11^th October at Battersea Evolution in London, saw Expedia fend off stiff competition,to scoop the coveted title of Best Flight Booking Company.

Travel company scoops prestigious title at Travolution Awards

London, 13^th October 2011: Expedia.co.uk, the UK’s leading travel booking site, was named ‘Best Holiday Booking Website’ at the Travolution Awards 2011 on 11^th October. The coveted award, which was voted for solely by consumers, will be the third Expedia has won this year.

The awards ceremony, which took place on 11^th October at The Roundhouse in London, saw Expedia fend off stiff competition from the likes of Thomas Cook and Virgin Holidays, to scoop the award.  

EXPEDIA.CO.UK RECOGNISED IN ‘FAVOURITE TRAVEL WEBSITE’ CATEGORY AT THE CONDE NAST TRAVELLER AWARDS

London, 1^st September 2011: Expedia.co.uk, the UK’s leading travel booking site, has been recognised at one of the industry’s most prestigious travel awards - The Conde Nast Traveller Awards.

The ceremony, which took place on 31^st August, saw Expedia claim second place for the reader-voted ‘Favourite Travel Website’ award. Missing out narrowly to Mr & Mrs Smith, who walked away with the title, Expedia fended off stiff competition from LastMinute.com, Booking.com and Opodo and specialist luxury booking websites Black Tomato and Seat61. It was awarded special recognition for the ease of use of its website.
